Reason the product is recalled
Due to a microprocessor malfunction, the EPIRB may fail the self test procedure.
The hazards to consumers
If the defect occurs, the EPIRB may not operate in an emergency situation.
What consumers should do
Perform a test of the unit as indicated on the unit itself in an open area. If the unit does not perform the test function, consumers should contact GME on our hotline mtfail@gme.net.au or contact number advised.
