Reason the product is recalled
Batches 022 and 023 of the anchor bracket are faulty. The anchor bracket connects the car restraint tether strap to the car anchorage bolt.
The hazards to consumers
If the tether anchor bracket fails in the event of a collision, the performance of the car restraint may be impacted, increasing the risk of injury to the child.
What consumers should do
Customers need to check if their product is affected by identifying the batch number markings on the anchor bracket. If batch number 022 or 023 is stamped, then the item is subject to the recall and customers should immediately discontinue use. IGC Dorel will provide customers with a free vehicle anchor kit. The affected vehicle anchor kit should be returned to IGC Dorel and not the retailer. For further information on locating the batch numbers and returns please visit our website.
