Reason the product is recalled
The wire may fail to operate when exposed to a fire or extreme heat and therefore may not automatically operate the fire suppression system of equipment on which it is installed. Primarily this will be large scale mining equipment.
What consumers should do
Ansul and Tyco are contacting all customers with instructions as to how to identify the suspect detection wire and how to contact Ansul/Tyco for the prompt replacement of any suspect detection wire. The replacement of suspect detection wire will be provided.
