Reason the product is recalled

Parts of the production of the lithium batteries are not waterproof and water could enter the housing.


The hazards to consumers

If water enters the housing, an electrolytic reaction may occur and could pose a fire risk. This may result in a serious injury.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the Torqeedo outboard motor battery.

Consumers with the affected models will need to register the batteries on the https://www.torqeedo.com/safety Torqeedo GmbH will then contact consumers directly to advise which Torqeedo service centre to get the battery checked and repaired or replaced.
