Reason the product is recalled
The affected products were received fitted with a 240V C13/C14 monitor style plug and socket for charging the 12V internal batteries.
The hazards to consumers
A consumer may connect a 240V monitor style lead from mains power into the 12V charging port on the jump starter which may pose a fire or electric shock hazard.
What consumers should do
MA8000 jump starters fitted with the C13 socket shown above, along with their charger, should be returned to the place of purchase for collection and repair. Alternatively, arrange repair by contacting Tridon at sales@tridon.com.au
