Product description
Marina bunk consists of a set of two solid timber single beds stacked on top of one another and joined by wooden posts, metal pins and a ladder. On the top bed there are a set of safety guard rails connecting the bed-head at the front of the bed and the foot-end and the other end of the bed.

Reason the product is recalled
1. The bed posts situated on the top bunk may potentially exceed the 8mm limit for bed posts, and consequently may become snag points.
2.The gap between the first slat and the inner edge of the bunk bed, and the gap between the last slat and the inner edge of the bunk end allow the passage of the 95mm probe when forces of 18N and 20N, respectively, are applied to the probe. Consequently, this creates an entrapment hazard.

The hazards to consumers
1. Potential for strangulation if a child's clothing snags or is caught on a post more than 8mm in height.
2. Potential for entrapment if a child situated in the lower bunk bed removes a slat situated on either of the far ends of the bunk and proceeds to force his/her head through the gap created.
