Reason the product is recalled
A loose connection on the oil supply line to the supercharger may allow oil to come into contact with hot engine components.
The hazards to consumers
Oil coming into contact with hot engine components may cause odour, smoke and possibly a fire.
What consumers should do
Contact their local Mercury Diesel dealer and arrange to have the engine inspected and repaired. The consumer should not use the boat until this has occurred.
