Baby bather

See a list of details to help identify the product

Reason the product is recalled

When the bather is lifted and/or carried with an infant in it, contrary to product warnings and instructions, its folding wire frame can suddenly disengage from the side hinge, dropping the baby out of the bather.

The hazards to consumers

If the frame disengages from the side hinge when the bather is lifted, this may pose a fall hazard and risk of serious injury to infants.

What consumers should do

Consumers are advised NEVER to use the bather as a carrier, even with the locking strap installed, as warned not to do on a label affixed to the product, on the retail package and in the instruction booklet. Consumers should contact Summer Infant via the website http://www.summerinfant.com/Help-Center/Contact-Us.aspx for a free locking strap and instructions.
