Reason the product is recalled

In some circumstances water entry into the boat's fuel tank may occur via the breather holes.

The hazards to consumers

If water enters the engine's fuel system via the boat's fuel tank it is possible the engine could shut down. This could occur while the boat is being operated, meaning the boat may not be able to return to port, increasing the risk of a boating accident and/or injury to the boat occupants.

What consumers should do

Affected owners should immediately stop operating the boat and engine and contact their nearest authorised Quintrex, Stacer or Savage dealer to arrange for an inspection of the fuel tank and for a fuel filler spacer to be installed.

Consumers can locate their nearest dealer by going to: http://www.quintrex.com.au, http://www.savageboats.com.au, http://www.stacer.com.au or http://www.telwater.com.au, or by phoning Telwater on (07) 5585 9898 Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm AEST, or via email at recall@telwater.com.au
