Reason the product is recalled
The dye used during the manufacture of these products may have contained hazardous azo-colourants.
The hazards to consumers
Expert authorities classify azo-colourants as carcinogens and recommend that exposure be minimised. While this dye stuff is not banned for textiles use in Australia, in the interests of customer safety Rivers Australia is recalling these products.
What consumers should do
Customers who have purchased these styles should not allow the jeans to be worn and can return the product to any Rivers store for a full refund.
