See a list of details to help identify the product
Reason the product is recalled
Due to the absence of safety labeling and the fire extinguishers not being coloured red as required by the mandatory standard, AS/NZS 1841.1:1997, the extinguishers fail to meet the requirements of Consumer Product Safety Standard No. 9 of 2004.
The hazards to consumers
As the extinguishers are not coloured red, consumers may not be able to easily locate them in an emergency. Additionally, as the extinguishers are not marked with the required safety label, consumers may not be able to determine whether they are appropriate for the type of fire occurring. Incorrect use may increase the risk of serious burns or death.
What consumers should do
Consumers should return the product to their place of purchase for a full refund.
