Reason the product is recalled
When the intermediate brackets are installed at walking surface level (between zero and 0.6m above the walking surface), the Sayflink Sleeve may disengage from the cable as it slides over an intermediate bracket while trailing a user moving across the walking surface.
The hazards to consumers
If the user falls after becoming disengaged from the fall protection system of the Sayfglida System, the user may sustain an injury.
What consumers should do
Customers with Sayflink Sleeves in service that were manufactured between May 2004 and November 2012, should immediately be removed from service. Please call Capital Safety's Customer Service department on 1800 245 002 to organise for the return authoristation and replacement of the sleeves at Capital Safety's expense.
