Reason the product is recalled
The two T45 pipe plugs on the outboard’s stern and swivel assembly were not sufficiently tightened and can loosen, potentially creating the loss of hydraulic steering fluid.

In some circumstances, this situation may result in a loss of steering control and possibly cause serious injuries or even death.
What consumers should do
Consumers should call an authorized BRP Evinrude dealer and make an appointment to have the outboard(s) serviced.
The service will be performed at no charge.
