May contain a component that in a rare number of cases could over-heat and ignite, possibly resulting in melting of the upper rear casing of the television.

The television may ignite internally and emit smoke while in use.
What consumers should do
Sony is voluntarily initiating a programme to perform a free inspection and, if necessary, a free repair. Customers who own one of the affected products should contact our Customer Contact Centre on 1300 13 7669 (SONY) to make arrangements for the TV to be inspected.
Important: If customers notice any abnormality in the TV's operation (e.g. an unusual noise, smell or smoking), they should immediately unplug the power cable, stop using the TV and contact Sony.
