Series 60. Model 2204. It is estimated that approximately 70 units of the carriers were incomplete when despatched, therefore they cannot restrain a child in the event of an accident. The product was sold at Target stores from 1 December 2008.

Reason the product is recalled

The product does not comply with the Trade Practices Act mandatory standard for child restraints. The infant carriers are missing the harness, the upper anchorage strap (tether strap) and stabilising bar which makes the carrier unusable in a car.

Consumers can identify the product by locating the Model No 2204 on the outer carton or by locating the Series 60/a/2004 on a label on the base of the carrier. The defect and missing components can be easily seen by observation, as the carriers do not contain the harness with buckle, upper tether strap or stabilising bar.
