The products do not comply with the 'Consumer Protection Notice No.13 of 2003 - Consumer Product safety standard: sunglasses and fashion spectacles.'
The products do not have appropriate labelling identifying lens category, description or compliance information.

The hazards to consumers
Consumers need to be informed through labelling what level of protection the sunglasses provide. The incorrect level of protection can result in vision impairment or exposure to very high levels of sunlight.
What consumers should do
Consumers who have purchased an affected product during the specified period should cease using the product immediately and return for a full refund. Returns and refunds only for the following Daiso stores: Daiso Midtown Plaza CBD, Westfield Doncaster, Boxhill Centro, Highpoint Shopping Centre. (Please note: the Hive-Abbotsford store is permanently closed)
