Reason the product is recalled

The following 21 models of sunglasses are being recalled as tests revealed they failed to meet the lens performance requirements of the mandatory Australian safety standard for sunglasses and fashion spectacles - Aviance, Calimesa, Clafin, Dixonsmills, Elcedor, Fittrott, Germaine, Hyacinth, Kathryne, Kovita, Limefreeze, Luzzana, Marline, Mandi, Nixa, Raymond, Redlodge, Royalton, Smithville, Teoa and Tipton. The following 7 models of fashion spectacles are being recalled because they failed to warn consumers that they are not suitable for driving at night - Accente, Calimesa, Cresthill, Jiggs, Laddonia, Mave and Varana. The following sunglass is being recalled because they failed to warn customers that it must not be used when driving - Limefreeze.

What consumers should do

Customers are asked to immediately stop using the first listed 21 sunglasses when driving as their ability to recognise blue and green LED lights such as those used by emergency vehicles and in traffic signals may be impaired. Their ability to judge the distance of moving objects may also be affected. In order to determine whether sunglasses and fashion spectacles purchased from ALDO are among those recalled, customers are advised to review pictures of the models subject to this recall which are available in ALDO stores or at www.recalls.gov.au Customers may return the sunglasses and fashion spectacles for a full refund to any ALDO store or by mail (all postage charges will be refunded) to: Busby Distribution Pty Ltd t/as ALDO Australia, Unit 6, 37 O'Riordan Street, Alexandria, NSW, 2015.
