The product does not meet the requirements of the mandatory standard 'Consumer Protection Notice No. 12 of 2008, Consumer Product Safety Standard for Vehicle Support Stands'.
The product was sold without the instruction manual and an incomplete label. The jack stand's label is missing some of the required information.

The hazards to consumers
If the stand is mislabelled, and does not have correct safety information, the occupant may misuse it on a different vehicle or in a way it was not designed for. Misuse may cause jack stand instability or failure. If a consumer is under the vehicle, this may lead to a vehicle collapsing causing severe injury or death.

Affected consumers should contact Sydney Tools Pty Ltd via phone 02 8199 1199 or email import@sydneytools.com.au to discuss options for remediation.
Sydney Tools will arrange to provide consumers with an instruction manual and a permanent label that they will be able to put on the product themselves, or consumers may return the product to the nearest Sydney Tools store location for these amendments to be carried out on site.
