Reason the product is recalled

As a precautionary measure if the cooktop is switched off at the cooktop On/Off sensor panel only, without having switched each individual cooking zone down to zero, there is a very small chance that cooking zones will remain active, irrespective of what the user does.

The hazards to consumers

Component fault.

What consumers should do

Customers to call Toll-free 1800 001 218 Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm to organise a service technician to replace the control panel without cost to the customer. Customers should have their model and serial number available when calling the Toll.
