There is a risk of serious burn injuries and/or property damage if the battery overheats and catches fire.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using affected BP1000 batteries immediately.

Consumers will have to return affected BP1000 batteries to the place of purchase to exchange for a BOB14 battery.
The BOB14 replacement battery has a higher specification and an optimised battery management system.
