Find banned products

  • Bans can be placed on products or product related services if there’s a risk of serious injury, serious illness or death.
  • If a product is banned, it must not be supplied in Australia. Significant penalties apply to suppliers who fail to comply with product bans.

Tinted headlight covers ban

The permanent ban applies to tinted headlight covers placed over a motor vehicle’s headlight that restrict more than15% of a headlight's beams. This may cause car or pedestrian accidents which can put people at risk of serious brain or internal injuries.
