Reasons the product is recalled

Hazardous voltage could reach a conductive part of the foot pedal if wires inside the foot pedal become detached from the potentiometer (small grey or blue plastic device), or corroded as a result of moisture, and then touch a metal rod at the top of the pedal. Wires can also twist and potentially break if the nut at the back of the pedal becomes loose.

The hazards to consumers

Risk of electric shock.
