A black plastic and anodized aluminium pivot/slide mechanism that attaches a bolster style boat seat to the supporting seat pedestal.
Why the product is recalled
Under heavy loads or extreme forces the black plastic section of the mechanism may crack.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the pivot/slide mechanism cracks, the mechanism could fail, resulting in the seat detaching from the seat pedestal, potentially causing a serious injury to the user.
What consumers should do
Bar Crusher Boats will contact affected owners and ask them to email info@barcrusher.com.au with "Safety Recall" in the subject line. The email should include the owner's name, address, boat model type, purchase date and HIN number.
A replacement pivot/slide mechanism will be sent directly to the owner.
Owners can also call 03 9792 2999 between 11am and 4pm Monday to Friday for further advice.
