Bean Bag Cover sold in Afghan Canyon, Horizon and Ember material colours.
What are the defects?
The product does not comply with the mandatory standard for bean bags.
The product does not have the correct warning label.
The product was supplied with a paperclip which can facilitate movement of the child-resistant fastener (zipper) used to insert or remove the polystyrene bean filling.
What are the hazards?
There is a risk of choking or suffocation in young children, leading to severe injury or death, if they access the polystyrene bean filling or climb inside the bean bag.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children until they receive from Beachside Style:
- a replacement warning label to be affixed to the product, and instructions on how to affix it.
- instructions on how to remove the supplied paperclip from the zipper slider.
If a consumer cannot affix the replacement warning label, Beachside Style will organise for the product to be returned and remedied.
