Why the product is recalled
The Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) shaft may break causing a loss of steering control.
What the hazards are to consumers
In some circumstances, this situation may cause injuries or death.
What consumers should do
BRP recommends to avoid driving your vehicle until the permanent solution is performed.
In the meantime, if you must use your vehicle, please contact your BRP Can-Am ATV dealer and make an appointment. Your dealer will perform an interim repair procedure. The interim repair procedure is a temporary action to allow limited use of your vehicle until the availability of the permanent solution.
Following the interim repair procedure, if you still choose to use your vehicle, be aware that you must respect the following:
* Do not use at speeds above 30 km/h (20 MPH)
* Maintain very low speed on rough terrain
