C10FR table saw. Serial Nos. 760001~760130, O60001~O60030, N60001~N60190, 170001~170232. The serial numbers of the products affected by the recall are set out on the Hitachi name plate affixed to all genuine Hitachi products (see image below). The table saws were sold in all Australian states and territories from September 2006.
Reasons the product is recalled
The riving knife mechanism requires greater adjustment capability, and its positioning relative to the saw blade requires modification. In the event of improper or incorrect use by an operator (i.e., use that does not comply with the Instruction Manual), the current configuration of the riving knife mechanism does not provide optimum protection to the operator.
