There is a possibility that young children can open the lock by defeating the two safety mechanisms.
Cabinet Slide-Lock:
The lock may break if subjected to forces applied by young children on either the lock or cabinets during use.

The hazards to consumers
If the locks are defeated, young children may gain access to poisonous substances and consume them.
What consumers should do
IGC Dorel recommends that customers immediately discontinue use of the safety locks and contact IGC Dorel Customer Service to arrange for a free replacement safety lock to be sent directly to them. Alternatively, they can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
