The batteries are 9-cell extended life packs that were sold with the following Lenovo and/or IBM branded ThinkPad notebook personal computers. ThinkPad Notebook Series/Models: T series (T60 and T60p) Z Series (Z60m, Z61e, Z61m and Z61p) R series (R60 and R60e) The subject batteries were also sold separately as extra or replacement batteries for the above series/models in the period November 2005 to February 2007 inclusive. Battery Part/Model numbers: FRU P/N 92P1131.

Reasons the product is recalled

If the notebook personal computer is struck forcefully on the corner, such as from a direct fall to the ground, the battery pack can overheat and pose a potential fire hazard.
