Product description
Model HPD05 Portable Hydraulic Pump (Double-Acting Hydraulic Pump used with HS Series Punches). The pumps were manufactured in Japan.
What are the defects?
HPD-05 Pumps incorporating a certain PC Board can cause the HPD-05 Pump and associated punch to activate unintentionally.
The automatic and unintentional activation of the punch can be caused by the following chain of events: if the "Auto-Return/Inching" switch on the HPD-05 Pump is set to the "Auto Return" position and the main power source switch on the HPD-05 Pump is turned off for between approximately 5 to 11 seconds and then the power source switch on the HPD-05 Pump in turned on again.
Under these conditions, and possibly others, the HPD-05 Pump and punch unit will automatically activate without any activation of the switch on the punch unit.
The HPD-05 Pump and punch unit will not be automatically activated if the main power source on the HPD-05 Pump is turned off for approximately less than 5 seconds or approximately more than 11 seconds and then the power source switch on the HPD-05 Pump is turned on again.
