Reasons the product is recalled
Due to a production error, a small number of bars on the tension lock buckles of the lower shoulder straps may have been cut.
The hazards to consumers
If the bar has been cut, it may cause the shoulder strap to release on one or both sides of the harness. The released strap could cause the child carrier to fall from the person wearing it, and, as a result, could pose a fall hazard to the child in the carrier.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately inspect the buckles on both straps of the carrier harness to determine if there is a cut in the plastic buckle on one or both straps. Inspection should be carried out in the manner described in the attached checking guide for consumers. If the buckle is cut, consumers should immediately stop using the carrier and contact Outdoor Agencies, Osprey’s Australian Distributor, for a free replacement or full refund. Consumers also may contact Outdoor Agencies to return the carrier for inspection. If the buckle is cut, consumers will receive a replacement or full refund.
