Battery Packs used in Panasonic Professional Power Tool range of products. Battery Pack models affected are: EY9230, EY9231, EY9200, EY9201, EY9136 and EY9106 manufactured between May 1, 2001 and November 20, 2002.
Reasons the product is recalled
The clip holder retention part of the plastic battery case (bottom part of the battery pack) securing the metal spring (part of the battery clip mechanism) is becoming brittle due to a chemical reaction caused by an oil residue on the metal spring.
What consumers should do
