What are the defects?
The handlebar may come loose from the bicycle.
What are the hazards?
If the handlebar comes loose while riding, the rider may lose control of the bicycle which may result in an accident causing serious injury.
What should consumers do?
If you have a Cervélo R5 or Caledonia-5 bicycle or a frameset purchased after the dates listed, with a stem whose faceplate matches the faceplate shown below in red (the actual stems are black) or a ST31 LT replacement stem, please stop using it immediately and contact your authorized Cervélo dealer to arrange for a free repair to replace the faceplate with the design shown below in green.
