SW65V9WIP
SW70SPWIP

WA85GWGIP
WA85GWWIP
Other models are not affected.

Reasons the product is recalled

Moisture may penetrate the electrical connectors of the washing machine, which can cause the unit to catch fire. 

The hazards to consumers

If the washing machine catches fire, there is a risk it will cause serious injury or death and/or significant property damage.

Hundreds of incidents have been reported in Australia. 

What consumers should do

Immediately turn off your affected top loader washing machine at the power point and do not use it while you wait for a remedy.

If your model is affected, you should:
• Register your details via the form on the Samsung website, or
• Contact the Samsung Product Safety Hotline on 1800 239 655 (8am-8pm, 7 days a week) and the agent can help you through the recall process.

You are entitled to choose either a replacement Samsung washing machine or refund. Samsung is also offering consumers an additional $100 incentive on every machine returned.
