Reason the product is recalled
In some circumstances when the right front seat is operated to its fully rearward position, the seat runner can compress the battery supply cable and cause it to potentially over heat.
The hazards to consumers
If the battery cable is repeatedly compressed, the insulation of the cable can be damaged and a short circuit could occur between the cable and the runner, posing a potential fire hazard.
What consumers should do
Notification to customers will be managed by the national Aston Martin dealer network. Consumers should then contact their selling or local Aston Martin dealer to arrange to have the remedial work carried out.
