Reason the product is recalled

* Generic warning label was not repeated on instructions—the products had warning labels attached to the window coverings themselves, however one warning label was not repeated in the instructions on how to install the coverings.

* Instructions did not explain how to install the safety device where a safety device was supplied with the products—this does not apply to all of the products listed above and only affects the Inca, Kenya & Sierra Roller Blinds and the Cully Roller Blind.

The hazards to consumers

Looped cords, chains or devices on window coverings can cause a strangulation hazard to children.

What consumers should do

Customers should contact the Spotlight store where they purchased the corded window covering products and request a copy of the revised instructions or obtain the revised instructions online at www.spotlight.com.au.
